Earlier this fall, we asked Patricia Wolf to remix a track from Fadi Tabbal's new album 'Subject To Potential Errors And Distortions' (co-released just last month with our friends Beacon Sound in Portland).
The "beatless" remix was premiered by Cairo-based Scene Noise; today we premiere a second remix with Berlin's The Brvtalist, and release them here as a duo.

Wolf, a musician, sound designer and curator based in Portland, uses electronics, voice and field recordings to produce non-linear compositions that draw listeners to a hypnotic inner world. Her use of melody and repetition manipulate the listener's perception of time, conjuring vivid textures and atmospheres.

In Patricia's own words: "When I first heard Fadi Tabbal's piece 'The New And Improved Guide To Birdwatching Vol. 3' I was stunned by the expansive and delicate beauty it holds. Its atmosphere feels sacred and in touch with the mysteries of the universe. It builds and builds higher and brighter until it becomes blindingly luminous and then it ends suddenly, like snapping out of deep meditation. I chose to approach the remixes as though the original song was a temple to offer sonic flowers. I rearranged some of the flowers already there and revealed some of their hidden sides; a little part of my heart left like a prayer in this space."
